The health benefits of summer fruits

The recommended fruit intake per day is 2 servings by the age of 9, which remains consistent throughout life. Eating fruit is excellent for feeling full, low in kilojoules, and full of fiber and water.

Fruit is recommended as part of a balanced diet because all the fiber, vitamins, and minerals have amazing health benefits. There is growing evidence that fruits may be more effective at reducing cancer risk than vitamin supplements!

Vitamins C, E, and A are abundant in fruits. These vitamins have many benefits, and some studies suggest that they may reduce the risk of certain diseases and support immune function. Of course, fruits rich in carbohydrates and sugar can cause weight gain and high blood sugar, so moderation is important.

A standard serving of fruit is about 150 grams or 350 kilojoules. About one medium-sized apple, banana, orange, or pear, or two small apricots, kiwis, or plums.
