How to make lineart doodling into a digital planner stickers

Turning your doodles into planner stickers can be a fun and creative process. As I am an illustrator, I always think about creating my journal and planner stickers with my illustrations.

When I started journaling, I drew some doodles to express my emotions and feelings. since I use the digital version of the journal and planner, I just want my traditional method(pen and paper) of doodles to be turned into digital stickers or word cards.

Creating line art doodles and turning them into digital planner stickers involves several steps. Those stickers can be used as printables or digital stickers.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you transform your doodling ideas into actual planner stickers:

Doodles turn into Stickers Step by step:

Create Your Doodles:

Use your preferred doodling supplies to create your designs on paper or digitally. I posted doodling ideas and sticker ideas regularly by theme. You can start doodling to find out your own unique collections.

Digitize Your Doodles:

Scan your hand-drawn doodles or transfer digital files to your computer. If you're using a smartphone, transfer the images to your computer. Just make sure the image resolution should be 300 + DIP. If the doodles are too small, you can re-sketch and line drawing in Photoshop or Procreate. Especially if you are making stickers for printing, your original artwork image should be in at least 10"x10" 300DPI.

Edit and Refine:

Use graphic design software to edit and refine your doodles. Adjust colors, add details, or resize them to fit the sticker size you desire. These steps are why I ask you to create digitalized artwork with should bigger size and high-resolution image. When you resize, you only can size down. If you size up your artwork, it will be a blur.

Create a Sticker Sheet:

Arrange your doodles on a digital canvas to create a sticker sheet layout. Make sure to leave some space between each doodle for easy cutting.

Print Your Stickers:

Load the sticker paper into your printer and print your designs. Ensure you're using the correct settings for sticker paper to get the best print quality.

Let the Ink Dry:

Allow the printed stickers to dry completely before touching them to avoid smudging.

Cut Out Your Stickers:

Use scissors, a craft knife, or a cutting machine to cut out your stickers along the outlines. If you're using a cutting machine, upload your design files and follow the machine's instructions.

Peel and Stick:

Peel off the backing of the sticker paper to reveal the adhesive side of your stickers. Stick them onto your planner pages and enjoy your custom creations!

Protect Your Stickers (Optional):

Consider laminating your stickers with clear sticker laminate or clear tape to protect them from wear and tear, especially if you plan to use them frequently.

Remember to have fun during the creative process, and don't hesitate to experiment with different styles and techniques to make your planner stickers uniquely yours!
