Content Creator Planner for Digital Creators

Everyone will fall in love with communicating with your audience through your content. For content creators, the content planner is essential, whether you’re a blogger, YouTuber, or social media influencer as part of your business.

Many people monetize their content, so we are running an online business with more thoughts and plans. It’s always a good idea to create or revisit your content marketing plan.

For these of you who are new to the digital world, don’t be overwhelmed by it. It might sound scary “content marketing plan”, but it’s not complicated.

You already know the basic concept of a business plan. There are four steps that should be processed consistently.

Planning, operating, developing, and content marketing.

Therefore, when you are running a business or shop, you need traffic to get sales. In order to receive this traffic, you need to create related content for the products you sell.

1. What is Your Brand?

The first step is to determine what you feel passionate about. Do you like to write blog posts, record videos, or create images for Instagram and Pinterest? Whether you can use it, you need to think about which content will match your business goals and vision. Select the form of the brand you are most excited about and focus on that first.

2. Who is Your Target Audience and What can you offer to solve their problems?

The second step is to think about who will be reading or watching your content and what problem will you be solving for your audience?

Ideally, your product and service will solve your client’s problems.

Let’s say you want to open a planner shop, for example. Your niche audience will be people who want to be more productive and well-organized. So, you can help them with solutions.

Now you might think about how you can offer the best solutions. Think about your audience who uses planners. They want their planner to be more functional, well-organized in each section, and easy to use.

When I started a digital planner business, for example, I wanted to help people to be more organized and productive. They combine the best of two worlds, traditional paper and digital with all benefits both have. With digital planners, you have more functionality, and better organization, and easier to carry them all in one device. You can write down your plans and thoughts by hand with Apple Pencil.

3. Choose the main focus channel for your content.

Now that you have decided on your preferred content form, choose the channels where you will share your content. The channels are Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, WebBlog, and Twitter, etc.

I also have the Arisu Creator Club and a Facebook group for my community to engage in, where I share the latest content and updates.

I recommend focusing on 1-2 platforms to grow first and then you can expand. In the first year of my business, I was too excited to share my content and products. I made a big mistake that expanded so many platforms. I realized my mistake not long ago. And I burnt out and I could not publish good quality content. I hope you don’t make this mistake. Please don’t overdo it. It takes time.

4. How to manage your creation and content.

Now that’s an interesting question and I always think about this. When I started a blog business 5 years ago, I didn’t have any content marketing strategy. I was a hobby blogger and did not even think about selling my products or service. I did not start with a shop. (like Etsy, Shopify, or woo-commerce). Occasionally posting on my website and Korean Community blog from time to time and not thinking about the questions above.

Of course, as expected, my first year was a slow and not profitable blog. In my second year, I started to do my research, and found out my niche and what I could make profitable in my writing and drawing. I repurposed my website and blog to change more focus on my community audience and what they want. I opened a shop on my site. (this is the best choice I ever made). and this started to turn around.

Long story to short, I have now my preferred content forms and channels I regularly post to. But, the problem is how to keep everything organized, and consistent, and track the progress?

Being a creator and journal lover, I designed my planners and journals to help your problems.

Each week, I use this planner to how my content batch on a certain platform and how to do marketing. And tap on “Blog”, “Socials”, “Product” or “Other” and be instantly redirected to the page for that specific content. Also, to make things easier and even more visual, with color-coding. As most of the creators are visual and this method is quite useful. It helps to see the whole content schedule month at a glance and determine where there is a blank space to fill in.
