Best laptops for Blogging-Compare Mac Air Vs Mac Pro

Today, I would like to compare and analyze the computer, I am using. To be frank, I’m not an IT expert, and the functions I mainly use are for office work and blogging. Sometimes, I used to watch YouTube or Netflix.

Do you also have a computer that suits your taste?

Best Laptops For Blogging-Compare Mac Air Vs Mac Pro

In my case, I have been using Apple for over 10 years. I started using Mac at that time and became a fan of Apple Mac. I recommended my favorite laptop is Apple Mac Air as the blogging tool.

For business, most companies use Windows, so my comparative analysis will be looked at in terms of blogging.

When I started blogging, the first thing I used was a Mac Pro (13 inches). Then I switched to the Mac Air in 2018 and have been using it ever since.

Comparison Mac Pro Vs Mac Air

Mac pro M1 chip 13 inches

The new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (13-inch) is twice as fast as the previous Pro and starts at 256GB. The new Pro includes a new True Tone display that changes based on the lighting in the environment, but can also be turned off.

The newest feature of this laptop is the touch screen bar above the keyboard that lets you use different functions depending on the app you are using.

I personally really like the quick addition of emojis to blog posts and newsletters. And it offers the same predictive text features you have on your phone. So, if you’re not sure how to spell a word, predictive text will help you spell it out.

It also has two more USB-c ports than the previous version, for a total of four ports, two on each side. This computer has a battery that lasts 10 hours and speakers that are much larger than the MacBook Air.

The older MacBook Pro (13-inch) is cheaper than the Mac Pro M1 chip but doesn’t come with Touch ID, Touch Bar, or True Tone technology like the new model. However, it is the same weight, size, and battery life as the new model.

The other difference between the new model and the old model is that the old model only has 2 USB-c ports, the new model has 4, the old model starts with 128GB storage, and the new model is much faster.

But bloggers don’t need the extra speed because the previous model is fast enough.

Display and color:

The MacBook Pro is faster than the Air and has a better display and color. Also, the touch bar is really nice when writing and adding personality to your work through emojis.

If you are a blogger with a serious focus on graphic design, or if you do a lot of work on your computers, such as video or audio, an expert can do better.

Pros of MacBook Pro compare to Mac Air:

  1. Faster

  2. Touch Bar (new version)

  3. More colors and better display

  4. More USB-c ports (new version)

  5. It can handle heavy workloads with ease.

Cons of MacBook Pro:

  1. Heavy and slightly larger.

  2. more expensive

  3. Shorter battery life (10 hours per charge)

Mac Air M1 Chip 13 inch

The new MacBook Air (latest), is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, and no longer has thick bezel margins around the screen. It also includes a new feature that is the favorite Touch ID on the MacBook Pro.

You can open your computer with a single touch, and you can also use it for Apple Pay and password replacement.

It doesn’t have an attractive bezel margin around the screen, but it does everything necessary for basic computer processing. Also, if you haven’t switched to the new USB-c port, you still have the old USB port and SD card reader, which can be a huge advantage.

Overall:

MacBook Air does everything which the average blogger needs.

It’s fast, lightweight, portable, and the cheapest option in Apple’s family.

Battery life is good for bloggers on the go, with 12 hours of charging time for the old and new models.

And with an 8th Gen Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of high-speed flash storage, the Baseline Air can do whatever it takes as a blogger.

Advantages of MacBook Air Compare to Mac Pro:

  1. Cheaper than Mac Pro

  2. Lighter and easier to carry

  3. Older models still have USB ports and SD card readers.

  4. 12 hours longer battery life compared to Pro 10

Cons of Air vs Pro:

  1. It’s not as fast as the Pro (but that doesn’t mean the Air is slow!).

  2. “All extras” not provided

what is the best laptop for blogging?

It may depend on the type of work you do on your laptop and your workload and personal preferences.

But in my opinion, the new model MacBook Air is the best for all bloggers.

Given the overall specs and price, the new model MacBook Air was a good fit for me.

Of course, if you’re doing video editing, podcast audio editing, or graphic design work, we recommend a better Mac Pro or desktop.

Air does everything you need to do as a blogger unless you’re doing something like this. Simple video editing is also possible.

It’s fast, has a nice display, is easy to carry, and has a long battery life, which makes it my favorite.

One final word,

I would say that the new Air model is a good fit for bloggers who are looking for a new computer.

Paying for Mac Pro and other extras can be a waste of money for bloggers.

Unless you’re a full-time YouTuber, graphic designer, or podcaster, it’s wise to save your money with Mac air.
