5 effective ways to treat Summer Sunburn with Aloe vera.

Are you suffering from sunburn? Today, let’s take a look at the effects of aloe vera on sun-damaged skin and 5 effective ways to treat summer sunburn with aloe vera.

Summer is the time to play in the cool water under the hot sun. Of course, it’s winter in Sydney where I live, but this is my favorite thing to use in summer.

Also, my family travels to Queensland, Australia in July-August, or visits Korea where my parents live. So I’m often having a hard time with Sunburn.

I like summer, but it’s hard when I’m struggling with the sun. So I always use aloe.

Of course, this doesn’t work for everyone but it is very smooth and gentle on the skin, so it’s not too risky.

There are many gels and spray types on the market, so they are easily available and are a good product for the price.

My favorite gel I use is “Moisture Aloe Vera Gel” and it is smooth and has no sticky feeling.

So, let’s take a look at the benefits.

Benefits of Aloe

Aloe vera is a popular medicinal plant that has been used by people for thousands of years.

A thick, short-stemmed plant that stores water in its leaves. It is best known for treating skin damage, but it also has a few other uses that could potentially have health benefits. <Wikipedia>

1. Contains healthy plant compounds.

The leaves have a sticky tissue that stores water called a “gel”. The gel contains plant compounds including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and sulfating agents.

2. Aloe vera has antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

These polyphenols, along with several other compounds in aloe vera, help inhibit the growth of certain bacteria that can cause infections in humans.

Aloe vera has antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-resistance properties. These are some of the reasons why it can help heal wounds and treat skin problems. Some polyphenols inhibit the growth of bacteria.

3. Good for sunburn and wound healing.

Most people apply aloe vera to their skin rather than taking it as a medicine. In fact, it has a long history of treating burns, especially sunburns.

They found that aloe vera could shorten the healing time of burns by about 9 days compared to conventional drugs. It also helped prevent seizures, itching, and infection.

This helps when, like me, you can’t stop itching and keep scratching your skin, causing more infections.

4. Helps control plaque.

Many people have a problem with tooth decay and gum disease.

Dentists said that the best way to prevent this is to reduce the build-up of plaque or bacterial film on your teeth.

Aloe vera is effective at killing the plaque-producing bacteria Streptococcus mutants and the yeast Candida albicans in the mouth. NCBI

Gargling aloe vera gel with diluted water in the morning and evening can help reduce plaque.

4. It can prevent Cold Sores

When fatigue builds up, the first symptoms that appear on the body are cracked lips and gotten cold sores in my mouth. At this time, I apply aloe vera before going to bed.

Studies have shown that it is effective in reducing the size of these mouth ulcers. Studies have shown that aloe vera therapy can accelerate the healing of mouth ulcers.

5. It is effective for constipation.

Aloe vera may also help treat constipation.

However, the substance that is effective for constipation is a substance called latex located just below the epidermis of aloe vera leaves. It is a sticky yellow substance.

According to an NCBI study, This substance is called “aloin” or “barbaloin” and is said to have a laxative effect.

6. Suppresses skin aging and helps improve skin elasticity.

Studies have shown that aloe vera gel can slow skin aging.

Aloe vera also suggests that it can help with dry skin conditions by helping the skin retain moisture and improve skin integrity.

As we all know, we take care of our skin as we get older. So, I am doing an evening routine to take self-care.

7. Helps Lower Blood Sugar Levels

Studies have shown that it may help increase insulin sensitivity and improve blood sugar levels. However, these uses should only be used after consulting a doctor or specialist. Currently, scientists do not recommend using it for this purpose because of the quality of existing research.

Side Effects

There are a few known side effects, but it is a safe treatment.

According to the National Center for Comprehensive and Integrative Health (NCCIH), the use of aloe vera has very few side effects.

Of course, taking aloe vera to relieve constipation can cause stomach cramps or diarrhea, and you need to be around.

Aloe Vera and Lemon Juice

You can mix it with lemon to make a variety of cosmetics, such as body scrub and face masks.

We all know that Vitamin C is good for whitening skin.

A mixing ratio of 8(gel):1(lemon), apply it evenly on the face and leave it for about 10 minutes.

The main thing is to avoid sensitive eyes and wash the mask thoroughly.

Aloe Vera and Tea Tree Oil Cleansing

Instead of buying cleansing oil to remove your makeup, you can make your own cleansing oil. mix 2-3 drops of water, aloe vera, and tea tree essential oil.

You may be sensitive to tea tree oil, so it is important to add a small amount and wash it off with water after a few minutes.

Spray

Applying a diluted aloe vera solution to your skin can hydrate your skin without creating extra oil or luster.

You can make a spray by mixing water and aloe vera 1:1. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray over the sunburned area. Avoid eye area at this time.

Coconut Oil, Sugar, Aloe Vera Scrub

Sunburn causes the skin to become flaky and begin to peel. In this case, you can make your own scrub by mixing coconut oil, dark sugar, and aloe vera.

Sugar grains remove the dead layer of skin.

You can make a scrub by using equal parts sugar and coconut oil and half the amount of aloe vera. After mixing, the scrub can be applied to the affected area and washed off.
